remember the titans is one of my all time favorite movies. that little speech above, it gets me every time. every time. "we fall apart like we ain't a damn bit of nothing." that gets me the most. it is so true. we work to achieve something, but when true opposition faces us..we fall apart. not all the time, but definitely a lot of the time. i think it is something mankind needs to work on. because the way we were created allows us with a capacity to do most anything--especially when we work together, as one. something i've learned is that a real life is not easy. ever. a life that is real and raw, lasting and meaningful, is a life worth living. and that kind of life is never easy. each time i watch this movie, it reminds me of that. i think it is a good thing to be reminded of.
